Our reviews policy
Dining in Devon values your opinion! So if you would like to tell us about great places to eat in Devon, where to avoid, where is overpriced and where has the best seafood in Devon we will be delighted to publish your views.
Our policy to reviews is user oriented, unlike other sites we do not have a vested interest in inflating scores and filtering negative opinions out of our site. If a review is constructive, not unduly offensive and does not read like a marketing campaign we will publish it positive or negative.
For the vast majority of Cornish restaurants we do not beleive this will be an issue as due to the competitive market there are very few restaurants that would survive if they were overpriced and served low quality food.
Although we have not yet implemented a right to reply option for restaurant owners we will at some point in the near future. In the meantime if you are unhappy with a review we will look at the review and possibly ammend it if we feel you are justified. If this is the case, please contact us.
Ideas for writing a review
If you want to write a review but are stuck for words, don't worry we have some suggestions that might inspire you!
Try answering a few of the following questions:
- What dishes did you try?
- How was the flavor?
- The presentation?
- Did it arrive hot from the kitchen?
- How fresh was the food?
- Was it too undercooked, or not cooked enough?
- Was there something unusual or interesting on the menu that you didn't try?
- How big were the portions?
- Were the staff helpful?
- Could they answer questions about the menu?
- Was the service too slow?
- Did you ever have trouble attracting your waiter's attention?
- If something went wrong with your meal, did they handle it appropriately?
- How was the standard of cleanliness?
- Did the bill arrive on time?
- Did you feel rushed?
- Was the meal good value for money?
- Would you go back?
All reviews are checked by an editor before posting so please think before you write anything, so please do not include the following in reviews:
- Personal comments that do not relate to the quality of the restaurant
- Profanity, obscenities or unfairly cruel comments. Keep it clean and not libelous!
- Anything that may get diningindevon.com into trouble!
- One word answers. Explain why you liked or disliked the restaurant.
- Personal information such as your email address, street address, phone number, web site links, etc.
Thankyou, and happy posting
