Lathwells is located one minute from Bideford quay with free ample parking. Everything is cooked from scratch in our kitchen. NOTHING is pre prepared. I passionately believe good food can only be made from the best quality fresh local ingredients. We pride ourselves on serving main courses with five fresh vegetables, much of them being supplied by local gardeners. All our meat comes from Honey’s butchers who are known locally as one of the best. Our fish is from Bideford bay and comes in daily, although availability changes due to local weather conditions and what is caught, all our flowers are from Blooms Florist on the Quay who kindly do all the arrangements for us. Every day I make bread. Our food is simple, classic and uncomplicated. The table is yours for the evening. Our menu changes often according to what is available. I always have vegetarian dishes and dishes which are naturally low in fat and calories. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Eating is about memorable food and being able to feel at home, relaxing and having fun. Lathwells is a completely non-smoking restaurant. Our wine list has wines from the new world and the old classics. (House wine is £9.90 a bottle or £2.70 a 175ml glass) We also specialise in local beers supplied by local micro breweries. We have a private dining room available upstairs for parties of eight to ten people at no extra charge. The Claydon room is an ideal venue for family occasions or business meetings as it allows privacy.
