Old Market Inn
The Old Market Inn lies in the very heart of the market town of Holsworthy. A historic market town with hundreds of years of history and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It has a thriving outdoor Pannier Market on a Wednesday, along with one of the largest weekly Cattle Markets in the South West. The Streets come alive as visitors enjoy mingling with local people and farmers who come to town to buy and sell, as they have done for generations. Holsworthy is ideally placed as a touring centre for the main visitor attractions of Devon and Cornwall, with access to the moors, the beaches of the Atlantic Heritage Coast, the countryside and in its own right, it has a varied range of attractions close at hand. The Old Market Inn has just recently been taken over by a family partnership. Recently refurbished to the highest standard, the Bar and Restaurant are something to try. Excellent food and exquisite wines to temp your taste buds. Well kept ales, beers and ciders are always a treat. The Old Market Inn has a an extensive menu and choice both with its food and beer. Another attraction is the relaxed and informal atmosphere of the two dining areas. Our main restaurant has 60+ covers, and our 2nd room has 20 covers. The emphasis here is very much on excellent quality, locally sourced food and unobtrusive but attentive service.
