I visited this place for the first time yesterday as part of a group of five. It wasn't busy when we arrived (11.30) and didn't fill up much even over the peak lunch hours. I'm not surprised. We had to ask three times for the water we had ordered along with our lunch - though no problem bringing the glasses of wine - and then when I ordered a venison burger, they brought me lamb & mint instead... when I complained, I was told that it was the venison - their venison burger actually contains mint! Not credible, or acceptable... the menu made no mention of mint in the venison burger (and for good reason). Not cheap either. Don't waste your time or money.

We were disappointed with the service yesterday Lucy my grand daughter and I
We arrived at 1.30 and by 2.45 we still had no food and apparently the Kitchen had not got the order. Wouldn't you think that someone might have asked us why we hadn't received any food at that point? We were very visible - immediatly beside the till no one person seemed to be in charge and this was probably the key point. Please try and sort this out and bring back that old fashioned service. I have visited the cafe bar twice and been far less than impressed on both occasions. The service was slow both times although when I complained the second time they gave me a full refund without quibbling. I would say that the food was generally good but fairly average and certainly not worth the money - there are several better and cheaper places to eat very near by. I should also point out that complaining here is the only time I've sent back food in a restaurant - I'm not an overly fussy eater and usually just don't return to somewhere I'm not happy with - but on this occasion I felt that the poor quality of food and lack of value for money was more than I could put up with.
